About The Event
Waves of Expression is a surf art and photography exhibition celebrating the culture, lifestyle and natural beauty of surfing. Blending traditional art with modern photography, the exhibition explores the deep connection between surfers and the ocean through diverse creative perspectives.
Presented as part of the 2026
Kirra Longboard Klassic and hosted at Kirra Community Centre, the exhibition features established and emerging artists working across painting, photography and mixed media. Highlights include an opening night, People’s Choice voting in support of charity, and live crossover displays featuring surfers from the event—creating a dynamic fusion of art, sport and community.
